Welcome to our Home Page
What have Kinghorn in Bloom been doing during lock down? Through 2020 and into 2021 those KIB volunteers who have been able to do so have been brightening the High Street with displays, maybe not up to our usual standard but still lovely nevertheless, and we have also been keeping areas down at Kinghorn Harbour and Pettycur as tidy and weed free as possible. Useful linksWHO ARE WE? Kinghorn in Bloom is a volunteer community gardening group, started in 2009, striving to make Kinghorn a greener, cleaner, more attractive place to live, work and visit. Our aims are to boost local pride and community involvement by brightening up the High Street and other areas of Kinghorn. WHAT DO WE DO? We plant and maintain hanging baskets, containers and areas throughout Kinghorn, including wildflower areas. We are active all year round and organise events such as the Annual Scarecrow Competition, the Village Show, Santa's Sleigh and a Festive Shopping Event. Due to the pandemic many of these activities have not taken place in 2020 and 2021 but hopefully next year! OUR SUCCESSES! We were awarded Gold from Beautiful Fife in 2013 to 2016 Silver Gilt from Beautiful Scotland in 2016. We were also very proud to be voted Best Coastal Village in Fife in 2016.
